Air Filter Mod

The air filter canister can move around in its casing, and any dirt that gets past the air filter has a straight shot into the carb.

Here is Steve L’s solution:

  1. Put a bit of filter foam on the top of the airbox upper part(1)
  2. Wrap some more air filter foam around the airbox part (1), hold in place with a bit of cut inner tube.
  3. Drill some holes around the airbox lower part of the filter to allow extra air intake – this helps a ton when under hard acceleration or hillclimbs.

This keep the air filter canister from moving around, plus prevents dirt from getting down into the bottom of the air filter, on its way to the carb.
